75th D-Day anniversary

June 6, 1944 is remembered as the D-Day Invasion of Normandy - the event that changed the course of the World War II.

The allied forces that took part in Operation Overlord (the codename for the invasion of northwest Europe) comprised units of the following:

United Kingdom, United States, Canada, France, Poland, Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Czechoslovakia, Luxembourg, Greece.
