Learning for a lifetime is not a cliché. When I'm getting ready for the lessons with my students (face to face, via Hangouts or Skype), I do draw inspiration from the latest events, fascinating discoveries, good literature, inspirational talks or smart commercials, I come across every day. And it is warmly welcomed.

It is because the effectiveness of foreign language learning doesn't differ much from acquiring our mother tongue. Indeed, the stage of life and maturity are usually different, but the key factors, such as the need for multiple real-life examples, intensive and versatile input and practice, serve as the basis for success.
